‘A’ Gets LOST as Mid-Season Schedule Announced

– Eagerly-anticipated new season of LOST premieres January 21 on ‘A’ –
-- LAW & ORDER joins the ‘A’ schedule with new episodes beginning in January --
– A new season of MEDIUM debuts February 2 --
– New fall faves including THE MENTALIST and ELEVENTH HOUR return–
- PRIVATE PRACTICE moves to Thursdays beginning January 8 --

Toronto, ON (December 10, 2008) – Hot on the heels of a successful and competitive fall season, ‘A’ continues to deliver one of Canada’s strongest conventional schedules with eagerly-awaited premieres and highly-anticipated returns. Among the exciting additions to A’s programming slate is the Season 5 premiere of LOST, new to ‘A’ Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET beginning January 21, and Season 5 of MEDIUM beginning on Mondays at 10 p.m. ET beginning February 2. The 19th season of LAW & ORDER joins the ‘A’ schedule Wednesday nights in January following LOST to deliver a one-two punch of can’t-miss programming. In addition, breakout fall hit THE MENTALIST returns with new episodes on a new date and time, beginning Tuesday, January 6 at 9 p.m. ET while PRIVATE PRACTICE moves to Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET beginning Jan. 8, both in simulcast (visit Atv.ca to confirm local broadcast times). Building upon an incredibly successful, dynamic Fall schedule, ‘A’ is now attracting more viewers than competitors E! and Citytv. ‘A’ leads E! and Citytv nationally and in all metered markets among key demos, with dramatic growth in double and even triple digits at the expense of E! and Citytv. • Beginning Monday, January 5, cult favourite GOSSIP GIRL moves to Monday nights at 8 p.m. ET while MEDIUM fans can catch a new season of the hit series on Mondays at 10 p.m. ET beginning February 2
• America’s #1 new series, THE MENTALIST, returns with new episodes in simulcast on a new day and time, Tuesday, January 6 at 9 p.m. ET
• The highly-anticipated fifth season of LOST premieres Wednesday, January 21 at 9 p.m. ET
• The 19th season of LAW AND ORDER moves to the ‘A’ schedule on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET in January
• Thursday nights are chalk-full of action, mystery and drama with an all-new line up of TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES (returning Feb. 12 at 8 p.m.), ELEVENTH HOUR (returning Jan. 8 at 9 p.m.), and PRIVATE PRACTICE (returning Jan. 8 at 10 p.m.)
• Friday nights are family nights with WIFE SWAP (8 p.m.), SUPERNANNY (9 p.m.) and STARGATE SG-1 (10 p.m.) kicking off weekend TV viewing beginning Jan. 9
