BNN and CP24 Launch a Brand New Program APP CENTRAL, Premiering March 29 on BNN and April 3 on CP24

Toronto, ON (March 23, 2011) – Apps. There’s a show for that… and it’s called APP CENTRAL, a new 30-minute co-production from BNN and CP24 that explores the growing market of apps for tablets and smartphones. Tech savvy co-hosts Amber MacArthur and Michael Hainsworth, along with technology reporter Kris Abel, test drive the latest available apps, and interview the movers and shakers in this growing industry. An online trailer for APP CENTRAL is available today and full episodes will be available post-broadcast at appcentral.ca with the television broadcast premiering Tuesday March 29 at 8 p.m. ET on BNN and April 3 at 10:30 a.m. ET on CP24. Also catch APP CENTRAL on CTV Saturday's at 5:30 p.m. ET starting April 9.

APP CENTRAL airs weekly on BNN Tuesdays at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. ET and repeats on CP24 on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. and Mondays at 7:30 p.m. This innovative and fast-paced program is the first of its kind in Canada to exclusively cover app developments and news. APP CENTRAL will help viewers navigate the ever expanding world of apps from business to health and beyond.
App development has sky-rocketed over the past few years and apps are being created by everyone: from a guy with a good idea to a business that finds a mobile audience for their product. Each week, APP CENTRAL will review the latest apps, interview an app innovator, talk to celebrities about what’s on their smartphone, new release app picks, and offer an app related gadget review.
